more lyrics, but they're meaningful.... [01 Sep 2010|11:16pm]
[ mood | a little sad ]
[ music | four year strong - one step at a time ]

Sometimes it's hard to say the right thing
The right way on the hardest day of your life
Breathe in, breathe out, it'll be okay
Breathe in, breathe out, I know it's hard to say

And every year November gets closer
And every year it gets a little bit colder
Breathe in, breathe out, it'll be okay
Be strong, hold on, make it through the day

One step at a time )

History
Christopher Anton Rousseau was born on September 12th, 1980 in the deep, deep south of New Orleans, LA. He is the eldest of one of New Orleans most distinguished and well thought of gentleman, Nicholas Rousseau, entrepreneur and resource of the community. He and his wife, Alexandra, greeted their sons birth with enthusiasm and even from a young age, Chris fed off of this attention. As his early years progressed, everyone he met would say the same thing, that he was an energetic and ambitious boy, who at times, seemed completely fearless.

The Rousseau's were blessed with two more children over the years, their second son, Daniel, and their baby girl, Jolie. Being the eldest of the three children, Chris felt that he was suppose to be watchful over his siblings, and while Danny resented him for it, he knew that Jolie appreciated and loved him because of it. Later in life, and though he'll never admit to it, he went to Jolie's school and beat the crap out of a boy who Jolie had confided in him that teased her mercilessly and made her cry. He knew no boundaries when it came to the protection of Jolie, nothing was too far in the name of defending his baby sister.

As he moved on in the years, Chris found a passion for sports, playing football, lacrosse and baseball, though out of the three his best sport was easily lacrosse. Despite the sports obsession, he wasn't the typical jock that most people thought he might turn out to be, the kind of person who expected his grades to be handed to him on a silver platter. He took his fathers lessons in hard work, integrity, and humility to heart, he never thought his father would waste his breath trying to teach him something if it weren't true. He was a model student and no matter how hard he tried, his younger brother resented him for it.

Life would soon change for the Rousseau family, when one day after football practice, Chris drove himself and Danny home only to find their younger sister crouched and in shock. Confused and terrified, Chris entered their living room only to find the source of his sisters anguish, she had found their mother on the living room floor. She had been raped and murdered. The next several months would be the hardest times in their lives, as the investigation into Alexandra Rousseau's murder turned up no suspects and it left the family to ponder and question how things had gotten to this. Graduation came and left for Chris, and instead of going to Notre Dame on a joint football/lacrosse scholarship, he stayed behind in Louisiana to help fill the gap that their mothers death had left.

After Jolie graduated from high school, Chris decided to take off, and the Rousseau family split apart for the first time since the death of their mother. Daniel stayed behind in New Orleans, Jolie went her own way, and Chris moved to Miami, where he learned how to be a motorcycle mechanic, and now works on building his own custom bikes. He has since moved to Chicago, left to go back to Miami for a few months, but recently decided to join up with a friend and start their own business based out of chicago. Windy City Customs is the name of the company, and for the first time in quite awhile, Chris feels as if he really has control over where his future is going.
